The 2018 Holiday basket/book sale gets underway Saturday, November 10th, in conjunction with the Germantown Christmas festivities kick-off. This annual event features a wide variety of themed baskets, along with books for gift-giving. See more information on the holiday sale page.
The Friends’ annual meeting and announcement of art purchase contest winners is coming up Wednesday, October 10, at 7:00 p.m. Program at the annual meeting will be presented by members of the Wisconsin garage band, Mourning Dayze, who have shared their story in a new book. Books, which include a DVD, will be available for purchase. The public is invited to attend. See the annual meeting page for more details.
Rules and entry forms for the Friends’ annual art contest for adult artists and the new junior division are now available through links on the Art Contest page of our website. The pdf forms may be printed, filled out and mailed to the address on the form, along with entry fees.
This year’s art contest will include a junior division for students in grades 6 through 12. When the rules are finalized, information and registration forms will be found on the Art Contest section of our website. Check back later for the updated information for both the adult and junior divisions of the contest.
Upcoming in March will be the Friends’ annual book sale. Dates for this year’s sale are March 22-25, with the preview night for Friends and volunteers and GCL staff on Wednesday, March 21, and regular sale March 22-25. Hours are 10 a.m.-8 p.m. March 22, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. March 23, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. March 24 and 12 noon-4 p.m. March 25. Mark your calendars and plan to attend.
